The Family Workers are here to support parents and carers within the school community to enhance and develop their families. We offer a confidential and professional support to parent/carers.

The Family Workers offer information and advice on a number of issues and can support parents in the following areas:

• Completing online forms – starting school, transition to high school, Free School Meals (if you are receiving benefits), referral to Luton Foodbank.
• Support with shoes or coat vouchers, and hats and gloves for families who are financially struggling.
• Providing ideas for parents whose children are fussy eaters and also make referral to school nursing to support parents.
• Advising on healthy packed lunch.
• Supporting parents with their children’s attendance, by having face to face meetings or home visits.

If we are unable to help parents/carers, we can signpost to relevant agencies.

We organise a number of Adult Education sessions – please ask us what courses are on offer, if you are interested.
