Year 6 students took part in an incredibly inspiring virtual workshop all about careers in aviation! We heard from a pilot, an engineer and an air traffic controller about their day-to-day roles at work and the skills needed for their jobs. The pilot was particularly impressed by our classes being named after aircraft!

It was great to get back out into the garden area with some old and new eco-gardeners. It was great to see the children getting stuck in, pulling out the old plants, repairing the slats, finding and saving lots of bugs. Great first week.

Reception were lucky enough to have a visit from the dental nurses . They told us what it is like to go to the dentist and why it is important to keep our teeth healthy. They showed us how to clean our teeth properly and reminded us that having lots of sugar can cause our teeth to fall out.

Reception took part in a health living workshop with the new chef Paul . We were shown how to use graters and to cut vegetables carefully . Then we went round to different tables and had the opportunity to touch , smell and taste a variety of fruits and vegetables. Now we know how to eat a balanced and healthy diet.
